The weekend of November 19th and 20th, Anobium will be participating in the first-ever Chicago Book Expo.
The Chicago Book Expo is sponsored by the good folks at the Chicago Writer’s House Project, and is intended to showcase various publishers, literacy programs and non-profit organizations in the Chicago area. Over 40 publishers and presses (including Anobium) will be represented at the show, hawking our wares.
Anobium will be sharing a table with Rose Metal Press, and we’ll be there all day Saturday (10am-6pm) and Sunday (12pm-6pm). We’ll have copies of Volume 1 and Sebastian’s Relativity available for sale, and we might also have a bin of name-your-price obscure used books.
We’re especially excited because the event is happening in Uptown, which is one of our favorite Chicago neighborhoods. Also, there will be an after-party on Saturday night, where Chicago’s own Joan of Arc (a Kinsella creature) will be playing a live accompaniment to the Charlie Chaplain flick, His New Job.
Chicago Artist’s Resource has a nice write-up about the event, as does the AV Club.
The book expo itself is free and open to the public, but you wouldn’t want to come unprepared. Books are the game.
